Customer concentration

Definition

The degree to which a business’s revenue depends on a small number of customers.

A genuine risk rather than a technicality: if one client is most of the revenue, losing them ends the receipts an advance is drawn against. Most pronounced in construction and contracting, where a single project can dominate a statement period.
