The federal registry of numbers that may not be contacted for telemarketing purposes.
The national registry generally does not apply to genuine business-to-business calls, which is the one real carve-out B2B callers have. It does not extend to the TCPA’s rules on automated dialling, nor to state registries with their own coverage.
Why it matters to a broker
Treating B2B as broadly exempt is the most common compliance misconception in this market.
