Worked example

$1,000 in Meta ads, 30 leads, two funded deals

The short answer

Put $1,000 into Meta ads at a $33 cost per lead and you get about 30 real-time exclusive leads. Fund two of them, a 6.7% close rate, and each funded deal cost $500 in ad spend. Two from thirty is typical: our clients close 5 to 8% of leads, with roughly 15 to 20% of leads reaching an application and 40 to 50% of applications approved. Alex calls $500 a funded deal more than conservative, and says even $1,000 a funded deal is still comfortably profitable on a $50,000 advance.

Compare that with UCC data. Picture what $1,000 of UCC data would take to fund two deals, and how many dials that is. Then run the same $1,000 through Meta ads and follow it to the funded deal. The arithmetic is short, which is what makes real-time leads predictable.

Whiteboard headed “8. The math gets predictable”. $1,000 in ads, an arrow to a lead card marked ×30 (“new lead, just opted in: Dustin Hale, Hale & Sons Landscaping, Florida, email, phone; landscaping; $70K/month; no defaults; requesting $50K”), an arrow to “2 funded deals”. Three boxes underneath: $33 cost per lead; 6.7% close rate (2 of 30); $500 per funded deal.
Thirty leads like this one, two funded. The lead card is an illustration, not a real merchant.

The arithmetic

Cost per lead$33The board’s example figure
LeadsAbout 30$1,000 ÷ $33
Funded deals2A 6.7% close rate
Cost per funded deal$500$1,000 ÷ 2

Each of those thirty is a real-time exclusive lead that knows your company and expects your call. The example on the board is a Florida landscaping company doing $70K a month, with a verified email, a phone verified by six-digit passcode, no defaults, and asking for $50K. At thirty a week, that is about $4,000 a month in ads.

Why two from thirty is typical

StageOur clients
Lead to applicationRoughly 15 to 20%
Application to approvedRoughly 40 to 50%
Lead to funded (close rate)5 to 8% for an average client

Thirty leads at 15 to 20% is four to six applications. At 40 to 50% approved that is two to three approvals, and whether they fund depends on how good the sales team is. Two is the middle of the road. These are client-reported ratios on our leads; the stage-by-stage benchmarks explain where each one comes from and how to read your own.

Two things to keep in view. The $33 is a round example, a little above the $15 to $30 range a qualified Meta lead usually costs and above the $24.07 we measured over one week of spend. Buying the leads instead at $60 per lead changes the first line, and clients doing that report $1,000 to $1,500 per funded deal. Either way, the number to compare against a UCC list is this one and the hours behind it, not the price per record.

Questions brokers ask

How many leads does $1,000 of Meta ads get an MCA broker?

About 30 at a $33 cost per lead, the example Alex uses. A qualified Meta lead for MCA usually costs $15 to $30, so the same budget can buy more.

What is a typical close rate on real-time MCA leads?

Our average client closes 5 to 8% of leads. Two funded from thirty, a 6.7% close rate, is typical.

What percentage of MCA leads become applications?

Roughly 15 to 20% of our clients’ leads reach an application, and roughly 40 to 50% of those applications are approved. What funds after that depends on the sales team.

What is a good cost per funded deal from Meta ads?

$500 is a strong result and more than a conservative one. Even $1,000 a funded deal is comfortably profitable on a $50,000 advance.

How much should an MCA broker spend on Meta ads a month?

Thirty leads a week at $33 is about $4,000 a month. The floor for a campaign you run yourself is about $100 a day, because less than that starves the algorithm.
