Data append
Adding contact details to a record from a third-party database rather than collecting them from the person directly.
How UCC lists and most compiled data acquire phone numbers, since a public filing carries a business address and nothing else. Appended contact data is a probabilistic match with a confidence score, not a fact the merchant supplied.
Why it matters to a broker
