Shared leads

Definition

Lead records sold simultaneously to multiple buyers, typically three to five.

Also called Semi-exclusive leads

Priced at a fraction of exclusive, and the merchant receives several calls in quick succession. Semi-exclusive usually means two or three buyers but has no standard definition — it sometimes means exclusive within a state or vertical, which is not exclusivity at all if competitors work nationally.

Exclusive leads
Lead records sold to a single buyer rather than shared between several.
Aged leads
Previously generated lead records resold weeks, months or years after the merchant originally applied.
Round robin
A distribution method in which each incoming lead is assigned to one client in rotation.
